This is basically a big text of Lance's past where he started doing his adventuring. This is for I hope you guys like this! Also, my lineart is terrible for Oshawott's arms and feet! >:I

“Bye, mum!” I kissed the female Samurott’s cheek and quickly opened the door, I put my rucksack on my back and started running off to my friend’s house, Sam. Now Sam is a Snivy, he can be very bossy and sometimes mean, but he helps me and I like him for that! I knocked on the door with impatience, feeling excited to go on an adventure finally, just like my dad, my whole body was shaking like jelly. A creak came from the huge door in front of me which opened wide and the Snivy with glasses on his nose appeared behind the door, “Lance. You changed your mind and want to travel with me?” the green lizard smiled. “Yes! I want to see the world! And everything that is unexplored! I want to reach the skies and uncover secrets!” I shouted to the top of my voice. That was my dream, my destiny more like! To explore the whole world and have exciting adventures.

Sam grasped my arm and pulled me to the edge of the village that I live in, I looked back as the village started to get smaller and smaller, I was having second thoughts… What if I never come back here? What if I… no! Must think positive, little Oshawott! I shook my head and looked at Sam, “Before we go… can I have a big goodbye to my mum?” hoping the grass snake will say yes but he didn’t, he shook his head and hissed slightly, “No time to lose, we have to go now!”. B-but… I… n-ngh! I pulled my arm off the Snivy’s grasp and stopped, “We say goodbye! O-or I’m not going, you won’t have a water type to keep you hydrated!” I crossed my white little arms around my red scarf and looked away from Sam. “Ugh, Fine! Say your goodbyes, I’ll just stand here and wait.” The snake looked angry and impatient, but I ignored his expression and gave him a hug, which was very surprising for him. Sam sighed in embarrassment, “Stop hugging me and wave goodbye, stupid Oshawott…” he hissed angrily. “Alright, alright~” I giggled and ran back to my house with full speed but I accidentally head butted into the front door, which was slightly painful and embarrassing, I must admit, but I wanted to say goodbye to my mum. I knocked rapidly on the door loudly, making sure the Samurott heard my knocks and yes, she did! She opened the door confused to see who was knocking loud, she looked around and then looked down at my white face, “Oh. Lance? What is it?” the Samurott asked with a delicate sweet voice, “Can you say goodbye to me and Sam, pleeeeeease?” I replied back by making my face all cute.
My mum nodded and smiled, “Alright, honey.” She stepped out and looked at Sam who was in the distance, still looking very cross and has his arms on his side. I quickly ran up to him and turned around, waving at my mum, not knowing that I will never see her again. “Bye! Goodbye! I will see you soon, mum!” I shouted, making sure my mother heard what I said. Suddenly two vines wrapped around my belly and lifted me up into the air, turning me around to face towards Sam, and then the vines quickly unwrapped, placing me on the ground, “Let’s go already! Don’t want it to be dark when we start off traveling!” the grass snake hissed at me again, always hissing… well that’s what snakes do! They hiss too much. I sighed and started walking with the Snivy, looking at my belly with the scalchop resting comfortably, I been thinking on how I can make this adventure more exciting, more… venturous, like we could have a pet flying type, who can help us fly around the skies! I heard that flying is amazing; too bad I’m no bird pokemon, heheh. Sam wouldn’t like that though, he’s a grass type, and they don’t really like flying, unless they were a flying type too, I guess.

Without notice, I and Sam appeared to be slightly lost… in some random forest, I don’t remember walking into a forest, maybe I was thinking too much and looking at the ground too much and it was already getting dark, that is even better! “We better set up camp; you bought your stuff in that bag, yes?” Sam took the bag off my shoulders and placed it on the ground, it made a huge thud because it was slightly heavy, “Arceus! What do you even have in this bag?!” the Snivy smiled and got out two blankets for me and him to sleep on. I smiled back and took one of the blankets that the Snivy dropped on the floor, “The ground may not be that comfortable, but it will do.” Sam settled his blanket near a tree, so he could use the tree as a hard brown wooden pillow, ouch! I hoped he gets a splinter, which would’ve been funny! I settled my blanket on the grassy floor, and then turned around to see that Sam had disappeared, I hate being on my own in the dark! “S-Sam!” I whimpered loudly, but there was no reply. I was very scared and I wanted to go home… go to my mum, she’ll protect me with her big strong sword!
“Don’t be frightened, Lance. I’m just getting some logs to start a fire!” Sam chuckled and placed them on the floor, “Right... uh.. Use your scalchop and scrap it along the log to start a fire!” he pointed at the shell on my belly. I looked at my belly and grabbed my scalchop with my paw, “Well… my scalchop can only create water.. Not fire!” I rolled my eyes and looked back at Sam’s eyes, who looked slightly crossed, “Just scrap your stupid shell onto the log, okay? Or I’ll do it myself!” Sam hissed angrily at me. See what I mean by Sam being bossy earlier? Such a bossy little… ngh! I’ll just do what he says “Fine, I’ll just set up a fire then.” I groaned, being tired of the snake giving me orders, I scraped my scalchop on the log and it quickly started up a small flame, light enough to make the darkness crawl back. “Now, bed time! Good night and don’t get stupid nightmares, okay Lance?” Sam yawned and covered himself with the blanket, slowly closing his eyes. While I stared at him, a loud scream came from the distance, I gasped and looked in the direction in the darkness where the scream could be, who is screaming? I want to know!
The scream came again and I stood up, I started running towards where the scream was coming from and it turned to be a Pikachu all tied up, a GIRL Pikachu? Ooh la la… Uhm… what was I thinking, oh yeah! Rescue the Pikachu! I quickly dashed towards the rodent and quickly slashed all the ropes off with my razor shell move. “There! I saved you, Pikachu! Uhm, what is your name?” I tilted my head and started at the Pikachu, she replied back by saying “Oh, thanks young warrior. My leg is slightly… injured, c-could you hold on me?” with a hint of sarcasm involved, I noticed that slight sarcasm but I couldn’t get why she was talking like that, but I picked her up and had her yellow arm over my shoulder when suddenly… ZAP!! I got shocked and was blacked out.

My eyes slowly opened as I see the blurriness of the clear blue sky… wait, clear blue sky?! It’s day time! There was pain all over my body, that Pikachu… why did she zap me? I was helping her! I slowly stood up and sighed, I noticed my belly was all soft, wait. That means my scalchop! Is missing! Oh, where is it! Where is my scalchop? I quickly searched around me, looking at every patch of grass and checked behind the trees but I couldn’t find any! I growled loudly because I figured that stupid female Pikachu stole my scalchop, oh she’ll pay! B-but… she’s an electric type, how will I be able to fight an electric type! I’ll need Sam. I stopped and heard the same scream occur again, that must be the Pikachu screaming for help, I gotta get there! I quickly rushed towards where the sound was, dodging trees and roots that stick out, eventually making towards the Pikachu, I tried to prepare myself by attacking the female Pikachu with my scalchop but I realised it wasn’t there. Silly me. Before I was about to be able to move, a big giant fat Raichu appeared in front of me and growled loudly at me, sparks came out of the yellow cheeks, “Back off! We don’t want your pathetic otter kind here!”

I stumbled and fell back onto the grass, being scared and frightened by the big fat Raichu, I managed to spot that the Raichu has my scalchop in his paw, “That’s my scalchop! You give that back now!” I got back up quickly and growled angrily at the fat orange rodent, but the Raichu shook his head, “No way, this little shell is really rare as it is very rare to find an otter like you around here, I will sell this and I will be given tons of gold!” the Raichu laughed like a maniac. “That’s crazy! No will buy that, it’s mine and mine only! No one else should have it! It is my precious scalchop!” I shouted back. “Oh you ask for it! I will crush you and make sure you stay dead!” the Raichu growled and got into his battle position.

The Raichu started charging at me, engulfing himself in electricity, he was about to hit me with his volt tackle until Sam shoved me out of the way, luckily none of us got hit by that electrifying electricity. “Where were you, Sam?! Stupid fat rat stole my shalchop!” I growled at Sam, I was feeling more aggressive now.. like I want to fight this Raichu even though I was just scared of him! The grass Snake got up and hissed angrily at the Raichu, “You stay away from Lance, you got that?!” he was standing in front of me… like he wants to protect me! “A Snivy huh? Your big ivy leaf is worth money too! I better cut that off your butt and sell it!” the Raichu growled loudly. “I won’t let that happen!” I replied with confidence, I wanted to beat this fat rodent and be done with that, but how am I gonna hurt him? I don’t have my scalchop with me but I hatched a plan, “Sam! Use your vines and grab the scalchop off Raichu, then I can help fight!” I ordered the Snivy and he nodded back. So Sam got his vines out of his neck and quickly snatched the scalchop off the Raichu and bought it back to my grasp. Yes! My scalchop, my precious scalchop, I started hugging it with love and care like it’s one of my pets. “Lance, you silly Oshawott, just stop hugging your scalchop and help me fight this fat mouse!” Sam screeched while vine whipping the Raichu, I made my scalchop glowed all blue and extend into a large water-like scimitar, I rushed towards the Raichu and did one big slash on his belly, making him fall back onto the ground creating a loud thud and a tiny earthquake. I smiled and hugged the Snivy in joy, but I noticed that I was… hugging him. That was kind of embarrassing, so I quickly stepped away and chuckled sheepishly with Sam rolling his eyes in embarrassment.

At the end of the day, me and Sam sat on the lovely grass hills with flowers waving about, we both watched the sun escape down the horizon, I closed my eyes and thought what an adventure I just had when setting off from my home village, I really enjoyed fighting the Raichu, also I learned to never trust strangers, and hopefully more adventures are to come with me and Sam.
